Chihuly at the DeYoung

Here's a show I'm totally looking forward to!
Dale Chihuly does gorgeous, often huge, blown glass installations. This show open this weekend (June 14 & 15) with free admissions, and lots of demonstrations and music and stuff.

There are a number of inspiring videotapes about him available; we particularly liked the one called 'Gardens & Glass' (of course) which we rented through Netflix.
And then that reminds me of our friend, the great glass (and garden) artist, Kim Webster...featured this weekend at 'Sculpture in the Garden' at the Ruth bancroft Gardens in Walnut Creek.
